iPhone troubles

On the back of reading an article about how great the 2000AD comics look on the iPhone, I duly signed up to your site and bought the PROG 2008: 12 DEC 07-01 JAN 08 issue. However clicking on the download link freaks out the Safari browser on the iPhone saying ‘Safari can’t open the page because it is too large’.
Say what??
Have I just blown my cash or am I missing something here?

I apologize for that. Our tests were much smaller, but we’re working on an iPhone dedicated version as well that will side step this problem. This version will be included as secondary download to all 2000AD comics at no extra charge, so if you’ve already purchased a given comic you’ll be able to come back and download the iPhone version for free.

Okay, so I downloaded the iPhone Clickwheel Ap, created my ClickWheel ID, and downloaded the latest 2000AD to my computer. But how the heck do I get Prog 1594 onto my iPhone so I can read the thing? I mean, I could just read the PDF on my computer, but c’mon guuuuuuys… where’s the fun in that?

To read it on your iPhone simply navigate to it on your Reader and select it, then hit the CBR button and it will stream right to your device. No syncing required!

Hey, so using the clickwheel iPhone app, when I select an issue of 2000AD that I’ve already purchased (and am quite capable of reading on my PC) and enter my login and passwd I get a popup that says ‘no data found’, and am unceremoniously dumped back to the menu I came from.

The app tells me that these issues are only available for download in cbr format, not PDF – is this the problem?

This isn’t really that annoying, as I prefer larger screens for this sort of thing, but it seems like a nice extra.

Thanks!

We are having occasional connection issues on some issues. Usually, a repeat attempt will address the issue. Which issue were you trying to access?

To each his reach and if I don’t cop, it ain’t mine to have but I’ll be reaching for ya, cause I love ya – G.C.

Nope! I click on the prog I want to view and it just says – Loading, then “no data found”.

Its worth mentioning its also telling me – CBR Purchase Required and not asking or giving me the option to sign-in. Although I have manged to download to my PC now.

Why Cant I just synch these to my ITunes like a pod cast or something. Its got to be easier. Oh and would it harm to list the prog in the prog order?

So far I’ve havent found this experience to be particularly slick and I’m a little disappointed.

We have an update coming soon that will alleviate some of these issues, so fear not. Do bear with us, we’re kind of working in uncharted territory.

As for why can you not just download and sync, that is something Apple will not allow us to do for a lot of reasons. We are working on an alternative option that will allow to download comics and add them to your reader account in another fashion though. Hang tight.
